Chalk Talk "You're In" (2012)
Tonight, Chalk Talk will be debuting a song from their upcoming 12" EP, Bad Influences. This album is being released by Chalk Talk's label Sex Cave Records, Rough Book Records (UK), and yours truly, Sometimes I Get Drunk Records. The song is the first track off the album, "You're In". It should should be up on their bandcamp in the next hour or so. Preorders will be done through Sex Cave Records, but we will eventually have them in stock over at our website. More information soon, but until then check out the new song tonight! I have listened to this album over and over again since the I got ahold of the digital masters!

I am back from being on the road with Peace Be Still, so there will be a ton of bands that I feel should be shared on here. These guys are cool as hell. It was really nice being at a show at their house, Babetown, in Amherst, MA. It was the first house show of the tour, so we got a nice shower in and a couch to sleep on.
This CD was in the car and got a lot of play time during the long drives. Actually, I think I am going to do a special post about just the music we listened to over and over in the van. There are some real gems in there.
But yea, these guys make really fun songs and they even showed us a bad-ass burrito place. Maurice inhaled a burrito with shrimp, beef chili and guac in it.
NUTELLA!

I've been in love with Beach Fossils ever since I heard "Golden Age" from their 2010 self-titled release. The carefree vibe of each catchy tune makes their albums the perfect soundtrack to a long drive on a sunny day. This 7" was just released last week (purchase here), and features two new songs. Hopefully we will see another great full-length from them soon.

Kenny hates this band. I don't. Actually I rather enjoy them. Which is probably why I am putting them on here. You may have read in a previous post about how they played with Joan of Arc a couple weeks ago. Joan of Arc was headlining, but these guys stole the show in my opinion. I think their guitarist/singer looks slightly like Bradley Cooper. Catchy indiemo with some noodles and an overall surfy feel at times. They are also one of those cool bands that puts all there music on their website for free. Oh yeah, and apparently Topshelf will be releasing two acoustic EP's by them; one live and one studio. So, look out for that.
I haven't been posting much; I've been working a lot and going out a bit and maybe playing a shitload of Spore, badass game I found on Demonoid. But in the next month or so expect an announcement relating to the next edition of the zine.
